Starting tomorrow I'll be working with a group of 4 history teachers to create a unit of American History in 3D GameLab. This will be for my PLC (Professional Learning Community - something all teachers are required to do in New Jersey). The unit will be piloted with an Alternative Program history class. (students who are at risk for various reasons)
I've created a 3 quest tutorial that we'll use tomorrow for the 4 history teachers. We have only an hour, so I tried to choose really carefully in terms of using their time and generating enthusiasm! It's taken hours of my time to create and test drive my group's quests. A lot of that time was working with the tech department in my school to get sites unblocked. (Anything that suggests "game" is blocked)
At any rate, I'm looking forward to tomorrow and will post again reactions from my "History Game Lab" group.

So are you delivering quests to the PLC to complete or preparing quests with your PLC for your students?
Chris - I'm doing both. First I'm delivering quests to the teacher PLC to complete. Then we'll be preparing quests together for the students.
Humanitarian - Happy to share once we've created some quests for the students. Right now the teachers are learning about 3D Game Lab. Then (hopefully tomorrow) we'll begin planning quests for the students.
